Changeling The Lost Review
Changeling the Lost is a far different game in themes and mood versus it's OWOD Predacessor Changeling the Dreaming. Now instead of playing a faerie trapped in a mortal body, you play a true changeling, one of the mortals abducted to Arcadia by the True Fae who's escaped and seeking to fit into a world that they no longer truely belong to. I will warn that the themes of abduction, slavery, abuse and the psychological trauma of dealing with all that afterwords aren't for all players. If you're sensitive to that, this game may not be for you. If you can deal with that this is a game of the survivors and over coming those obstacles, the game is awesome. Several nods to Dreaming and DA Fae with Seasonal Courts and Contracts, Wyrd and Glamour. A changeling character is easilly custumizable with Kiths and Seemings and being able to describe the character. Politics, intrigue, loyalists, privateers, strange denizens from the Hedge, is the character's Keeper still looking to haul them back to Arcadia or not? Dealing with Fetches, the thing that replaces an abducted character who much to their horror realizes that their family didn't even realize they were gone at all. There's a lot of potential here for many numerous stories and options. This has been the best game so far that I've seen White Wolf put out and not just because I'm a fan of the old Changeling game. It really is that good. |

Inspiring and playable
Changeling: the Lost is simply the best game White Wolf has made to date. The combination of inspiration and playability can't be beat. |
